Optimization of logistics for the plastics industry
With the help of FOSS, plastics processing companies are able to optimize their logistic business processes and, if required, to align them exactly to their customers’ requirements. Field-tested functions for an efficient supply-chain-management (SCM), e.g. the neatlessly integrated EDI communication with plausibility and feasibility check, the consignment warehouse handling, the flexible container administration including labels and the vendor portal with VMI support (vendor managed inventory) are available for FOSS users in the plastics industry. In addition, FOSS has an elaborated tour planning and is able to easily integrate forwarders into the process chain. The FOSS functions for subcontractors offer a convenient support of external operation sequences also with provisions and ,optionally, direct delivery to the customer
