Warehousing tasks include stock movement control, inventory control, warehouse location and stock location management, lot specific management, warehouse specific control and inventory taking. Thus, it supports an effective material flow along the added valuation chain within the company and fulfils basic functions while processing core tasks of modern company management.
FOSS-Warehousing offers all transactions required for warehouse management such as incoming stock entries, withdrawals or stock transfers. It is possible to enter stock transfer proposals from net requirement calculation and transaction specific incoming stock and withdrawals for planning and net requirement calculation. This FOSS module receives stock movement data from the subsystems Production, Sales and Purchases and completes basic functions of the information system. Simulation is enabled for net requirement calculation of e.g. stock withdrawals based on customer orders (when lacking FOSS-Sales) or stock receipts (when lacking FOSS-Purchases).
In addition to assigning and tracking of series and lots within product liability, management of the packaging is another basic function of FOSS-Warehousing. As with other subsystems, some of the functions and basic settings are controlled through parameters, so that FOSS-Warehousing can also be adjusted individually to the company structures.
